Visiting the Countryside 2011 South King Khayon

As you could see the previous weekend we have been resting and discovering one of the corners of our beloved Extremadura: the Countryside South. One of the many regions away from the hustle and bustle of the region. hard to imagine how in the past was the most crowded places of the territory, as the Roman or Regina Llerena the century XVI the Order of Santiago and the Inquisition became the second most populous city in Extremadura .

The site chosen for Hospedería rest was the Mirador de Llerena , stately old palace of the early twentieth century , then known as "Casa de Dona Mariana", worth visiting for itself. Within the Countryside South made three visits to places very different:

The first was the Jayona mine, an old abandoned iron mine some 90 years ago. At this mine we could see was the mountain after years and years of mineral extraction.
